A talented fan recreates Link's iconic bottle of health-restoring Lon Lon Milk that first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

A talented Legend of Zelda fan has crafted a real-life version of Link's iconic Lon Lon Milk bottle. Lon Lon Milk was first introduced in 1998's seminal The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, where Link could fill his empty glass bottles with this nutritious drink after completing Talon's Super Cucco-findin' Game. It has since appeared in many other Legend of Zelda sequels, and drinking it usually restores five of Link's hearts - making it a very helpful resource to have on hand during especially challenging dungeons and battles.

Lon Lon Milk has even made crossover appearances in various Super Smash Bros. entries, with Young Link taking a refreshing drink while taunting in the GameCube-era Super Smash Bros. Melee and a sticker of the beverage boosting launch power for Toon Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii. Due to its usefulness and close association with Link, Lon Lon Milk is one of the most well-known items in the Legend of Zelda franchise, with fans even making replica versions of the bottle for gaming-themed New Year's parties or just the fun of it.

Reddit user missles1 recently shared their own homemade version of Link's Lon Lon Milk bottle from The Legend of Zelda on r/Zelda earlier this week. This large, glass jar looks very similar to the one from the games thanks to its cork plug and light-blue label with Hylian text and a cartoon image of the Lon Lon Cow the milk comes from. While the bottle is currently empty, missles1 has asked commentators if they should put wax inside to simulate the life-giving milk it would carry in-universe.

This refreshing fan-made prop comes at the perfect time for Legend of Zelda players, as the long-awaited Tears of the Kingdom finally launched on the Nintendo Switch a few days ago. So far, the latest installment in the iconic Zelda series has been met with high praise for its free-roaming open-world gameplay and imaginative new powers that allow Link to create impressive new vehicles and weapons to aid in his quest to save Hyrule from the wicked Ganondorf once again.

Even as the Legend of Zelda franchise continues to evolve with each new game, fans still fondly remember classic elements like the health-restoring Lon Lon Milk that has been a part of Link's arsenal since the days of the Nintendo 64. Missles1's replica of the classic Lon Lon Milk bottle is a spot-on recreation of the legendary drink's container, and might make for a perfect beverage choice while playing through a session of Tears of the Kingdom.
