Laguna Beach’s Rum Social celebrates 1 year with $1 bottles of select wine
Rum Social, a Laguna Beach island-inspired restaurant, is celebrating its first anniversary with a new seasonal dinner menu as well as offering select bottles of wine for $1 beginning in April.
Executive Chef Nick Herrera curated a new menu to mark the celebration. A Tuna Poke, which includes raw tuna, pineapple pico de gallo, avocado, and sweet Thai sauce, as well as Crispy Coconut Prawns with a cocktail sauce made in-house have been added as new starters.
For guests looking for a twist on some classics, a Crispy Brussels Caesar is topped with crispy shallots, tangy cotija, and micro herbs and the Apple Rum Salad includes roasted grapes, walnuts, and mint.
New dinner items include slow-braised Snake River Farms Wagyu Short Rib, Garlic Butter Prawns with Maitake mushrooms and Striped Seabass with coconut rice curry broth, Shimeji mushrooms, and pickled cabbage.
Uncle Ken's Fried Rice will be added as a new side option.
"Our new menu reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience, with bold, exotic flavors that transport you to a tropical paradise," Rum Social General Manager Steve Reed said in a statement. "As we enter into the busy months of spring and summer, we look forward to expanding our hours with the return of lunch service."
The $1 select bottles of wine will include Martin Ray Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. The promotion will from April 1 run through the end of April and will be limited to one bottle per in-person reservation.
