The Bridge Street spot Neon Tiger is all set to become a Juicebox - the independent wine, coffee and bottle shop that already has an outpost in Didsbury. It's being opened up by Bigger Boat, the company behind Bunny Jackson's, Junior Jackson's, Wolf at the Door, Lost Cat and Liqour & Burn.
It will open its doors for business on July 1. Neon Tiger, the Thai barbecue restaurant which opened its doors in 2022, sadly closed last month after barely a year of trading. Prior to that, the unit was a Grindsmith's coffee shop.
Juicebox hopes to continue the success of the Didsbury shop, which sells a wide range of low-intervention natural wines and craft beers, as well as small plates coming from the kitchen. The Bridge Street spot will also stock ‘store cupboard essentials, super tasty snacks and fancy deli goods’.

It’ll open early during the week for coffee and pastries, and serve small plates, cheeseboards, charcuterie from midday, as well as a range of decent cocktails and wines by the glass.
Meanwhile at the weekend, they’ll serve fried chicken sandwiches and boast DJs into the night.
Any bottles from the selection on the shelves can be bought and drunk in store for £5 corkage, house negronis will be £5 all day, and three small plates will cost £15 from 12pm to 5pm.
As well as that, the shop will also offer same-day bicycle delivery covering the whole of the city centre, and national courier delivery of wines and beers.
